Greetings!
Thanks to everyone who has helped kick off 2017 to a great start at Village Wines and Piccolo! We have lots of really cool things planned, so stay tuned for updates via the Grapevine, our Facebook pages and our website. Have you seen our new doors?!!!
With the addition of the Meritage in the Village Square – parking can sometimes be at a premium. Don’t forget about the public lot across the railroad tracks – right behind the Meritage. It’s really not that far from Village Wines!!!
We are having a special tasting event tomorrow – January 18th. Join us as we welcome Jim Diana (Mid Central Region Manager) and Tim Bushey (Fine Wine and Spirit Manager) of Vintage Wine Estates. The cost is $20.00/person. We will get started at 7:00 and will taste these wines from the BR Cohn, Clos Pegase, Swanson vineyards:

We’re SO excited about Italian Wine Month (February) – that we’re kicking it off one week early!! We had a great time last year learning about different varietals – and this year promises to be the same! Come out and join us each Friday night in February and the last Friday in January and discover your own favorites.
On February 1, we are going to FINALLY bury that movie! (Can you say Sideways??!!!!!!) Join us as we blind taste 12 different selections of either Cabernet or Merlot. Will YOU be able to tell the difference??!! We will start at 7:00 pm – you can begin whenever you get there. We will have ‘score’ sheets available and prizes will be awarded! $20.00 /person.
Did you know that we have a monthly Music Trivia Night at Piccolo??? It’s February 8th – and our very own Kevin is the guy with all the answers and Chef Nick is there to serve food. It’s an awesome good time – check it out!!
Interested in expanding your palate? Try our Wine of the Month Club. This months selections are from Greece. We also offer various ‘perks’ to our WOM members throughout the year – we’d love to add you to our member list!

We have a feature called Wine Finds – it’s where we list terrific wines we’ve come across – that we think are really interesting, good values or possibly closeouts. When you click on the Wine Finds tab, on the right hand side of the page is a box to enter your name and email address. Whenever a new wine is added, you will be notified. Check it out!!
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Chef Nick will be featuring a special dessert that week – so bring your Valentine and join us for some wine and dessert.
Back in stock: Sun Dried Tomato and Bourbon Fig Torta – and Whitley’s Peanuts, cashews, pistachios, deluxe nuts, peanut brittle and chocolate covered peanuts. Yum.
Also, don’t forget Village Wines when it comes to gift planning. We can make custom gift baskets, and have gift certificates available in any denomination.
